The Trans-Dimensional Economic Community

Background material for my GURPS game, Cool Regime Change and the science fiction story Something Wonderful This Way Comes which is based upon it. The Trans-Dimensional Economic Community is a space-opera-ish science fiction setting that combines faster-than-light travel with "crosstime" travel to parallel worlds. In this setting, parallel worlds are not alternate versions of human history but worlds where evolution has gone differently than it did on (our) Earth. Thus, the setting combines near-human aliens, aliens evolved from other species of Earth life, and totally alien aliens from far away in space.
