Parachronics
Reference: GURPS Basic Set page 529. Disclaimer. TDEC parachronics are more advanced than Infinity's. There is also no Infinity, Inc. licensing fee. Finally, subquantum conveyors are mass-produced, significantly lowering the price.
Subquantum conveyor
| TL | base cost | plus per ton |
| 9 | $500,000 | $500,000, 10lb |
| 10 | $250,000 | $250,000, 5lb |
| 11 | $125,000 | $125,000, 2.5lb |
No further improvement at TL12.
One-quantum conveyor. Not mass-produced, so no price break from that. No Infinity licensing, though. M = million.
| TL | base cost | plus per ton |
| 9 | $10M | $75M, 20lb1 |
| 10 | $5M | $37.5M, 10lb |
| 11 | $2.5M | $18.75M, 5lb |
1 I'm assuming the 10lb in GURPS Basic is a typo. Infinite Worlds also has it at 10lb, so maybe not. But it's 20lb at TL9 for TDEC.
There is no further improvement at TL12.
Two-quantum conveyors are not needed. All parachronic equipment equipped with proper transponders is LC3. Parachronic equipment without proper transponders is LC0 and in many places is destroyed upon detection. They don't necessarily let the occupants exit the conveyor first. Even if it's not destroyed, it will be placed in a Reality Stabilizer field as soon as possible, inspected by a WMD disposal team, and probably confiscated.
Conveyors are usually modified vehicles. All vehicles in the local paracluster are required to be [GlossaryS#|SAI]-controlled and thus are full citizens of their respective polities. Like other sentient vehicles, conveyors usually rent out their services as taxies. Grimmon and some other polities require conveyors (as well as other vehicles) to have biosapients operators with a manual override, to guard against cybernetic attack by the Housekeepers.
