The non-process
- Stuff is written down on dead-tree material as it occurs to me. I try to keep this in the One True Notebook until I lose it, then I start a new One True Notebook.
- Stuff is typed up in a Microsoft Word document named with the formula ScratchPadYYYYMMDD.doc. This serves two purposes: spell checking (strangely absent from much blog and wiki editing software), and a backup copy for when I forget where I've posted something, or it suddenly disappears offline (happened to one of my Yahoo groups), or something.
- Stuff is copied to the Planning section of this wiki. The main advantage is that, in theory, stuff that is related can be linked together, and linked to relevant external sites.
